# Block Unwanted Email Signups with Domain Filtering

Today, I've rolled out a new feature that gives you more control over who can sign up for your newsletter: Email Domain Blocking. This update comes with [Ghost's latest version 5.107.1](https://github.com/TryGhost/Ghost/releases/tag/v5.107.1?ref=magicpages.co) and helps you keep your subscriber list clean from unwanted or spam signups.

## What's New

You can now specify a list of email domains that should be blocked from subscribing to your newsletter. This is particularly useful if you've noticed spam signups from specific domains or want to prevent disposable email addresses from being used.

The configuration is straightforward: just add the domains you want to block in your customer portal under Configuration → Spam Settings. These settings will then be written into Ghost's configuration, which will prevent any new subscriptions from email addresses using these domains

****Update, 24 January 2025**: several domains, that have been identified as spam domains, are blocked per default for all Magic Pages customers. These domains are visible in the Magic Pages Customer Portal.
