A customer recently asked us to connect the domain of their old website to their new Magic Pages site. We set it up by hand, and one old link still didn't land where it should.

Today, you manage one domain per site yourself. Anything beyond that means asking us.

So we're making extra domains something you add yourself.

## What it is

You'll be able to connect more than one domain to a site, right from your customer portal. There are plenty of reasons to want that: the domain of a site you're retiring, the spelling people keep typing by mistake, a country version like `.de`, or a short address for printed flyers.

They all lead to the same site, and you stay in charge of each one.

## You decide what each domain does

For every extra domain, you choose what happens when someone visits it.

Most of the time, forwarding to your main domain is the right choice. Visitors keep their place: someone opening `old-example.com/about` arrives at `example.com/about`, not at your homepage. Search engines see one address for your site instead of two copies of it.

If you'd rather a domain showed your site directly, that's an option too.

## Old domains, page by page

When an extra domain belonged to a previous site, some of its pages have probably moved. You can point those old links at their new homes, and everything else follows on its own.

## Setting it up

You add a domain, set a couple of DNS records, and for supported providers our domain setup does that for you in one click. Adding, changing or removing a domain never touches your site itself, so there's no downtime.

## When to expect it

We're starting with the groundwork now, and we'll roll it out to a small group of sites first. Expect it Q4 of 2026.
