Development Update #13 on Magic Pages

Happy Thursday – I hope your week is going well so far!

For me, lots of things have happened since last week. The sunny weather really seems to bring out a more productive mood in me 😅

Firstly, I've been pouring a lot of energy into the development of a new theme, "Berlin". As its name suggests, this is a theme inspired by the vibrant and dynamic nature of the city, and it's specifically designed with newsletters in mind. I've posted a sneak peek of Berlin on my Twitter account for those who are as excited as I am for this new theme. You can check it out here. The goal is to have this theme ready for launch by next week, so stay tuned for that!

Secondly, I've set up git.magicpages.co as my project management hub. This is where you can track issues, bugs, and new developments. If you're interested in what's happening behind the scenes, or if you want to check if a bug you've encountered is already known, you can head over to the issues page [UPDATE December 2023]: there is a new roadmap page available here.

Additionally, I'm in the midst of preparing for the public launch of Magic Pages (August 1st – fingers crossed 😬🤞). As part of this preparation, I'm implementing a 14-day trial period for the product.

In other news, I've made some minor improvements to the customer portal and infrastructure setup. Some of them would have let to some major bugs – so I am glad I caught them early on.

Last but certainly not least, we're celebrating a major milestone – the first Magic Pages customer sent a newsletter 🎉

(At least, the first I know about – if you've already sent one before, let me know 🙌)

My wife Mariia has used Magic Pages to send out a newsletter. You can have a look at her newsletter here.

We also set up an automated welcome email for her, which isn't a standard feature in Ghost. Would you find something like this useful for your own newsletters? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
