Magic Pages acquired Gloat

Writing these lines feels...weird. But here's what I have been working on in the last couple of weeks:

Magic Pages acquired Gloat and its hosting service for Ghost.

Dan, the founder of Gloat, has made the decision to focus on new entrepreneurial ventures and trusted me with taking over the reins.

This means that all of Gloat's customers will seamlessly continue their Ghost CMS hosting journey with Magic Pages, making sure that there are no interruptions to their websites and content.

What This Means for Gloat Customers

If you're a Gloat customer reading this, here's what you need to know:

Your site stays online. There's no downtime, no service interruption, and no disruption to your publishing workflow. Dan and I are working together to transition the Gloat setup into the Magic Pages infrastructure, to ensure everything continues running smoothly.

Simple migration process. Between September and mid-October, Dan and I will be handling your site migration behind the scenes. The only thing you'll need to do is update your DNS records when we email you with instructions – everything else is handled automatically.

Enhanced capabilities. Your Ghost sites will then run on Magic Pages' infrastructure, which fully supports Ghost 6.0's latest features including Social Web and Traffic Analytics. More on Ghost 6 here:

Simple, fast, and reliable Ghost CMS hosting.

What This Means for Magic Pages

This transition allows Magic Pages to welcome an incredible community of publishers who share my passion for Ghost CMS. It's an honor to continue serving websites that Dan and his customers have built over the last five years.

For existing Magic Pages customers, nothing changes except that our community just got bigger and stronger.

Personal Note

Like Dan, I'm a single founder and Ghost enthusiast, who understands the importance of reliable hosting for content creators of all sizes.

I started Magic Pages back in early 2023. Back then, I was pretty active on Twitter, and actively used Dan's product ilo. I never dreamed that the day would come that I had the opportunity of acquiring one of his businesses.

And now we are here.

When Dan approached me about this transition, it was clear we shared the same values: putting customers first, maintaining personal support, and ensuring publishing never stops being smooth.

Acquisitions in hosting can sometimes feel impersonal, but this one isn't. Dan and I went through every aspect of Gloat's setup to ensure I could maintain the same level of service.

If you're a Gloat customer with questions about the transition, or if you're curious about what Magic Pages offers, don't hesitate to reach out directly. Similarly to Dan, I personally handle support and love talking with publishers about their Ghost CMS setups.

You can email me at help@magicpages.co or use the live chat on this website. Keep in mind that response times might be a tiny bit slower these days.
