These are the prices for every domain extension we offer, with the fees and periods that apply after a domain expires. The Domain Names section of our terms describes the rules in full.
How prices are made
Each price is what the registry charges for the extension, as passed on by our registrar, plus the fee of our payment provider, plus a Magic Pages service fee of €1 per year, rounded up to the next 10 cents. We do not sell premium domain names. Prices exclude VAT, which Paddle adds at checkout based on where you are. When the registry changes its price, the price here follows within a day.
Renewal
Domains renew automatically every year at the renewal price shown here, unless you switch off auto-renew on the domain's page in the customer portal. We email you the renewal date and price at least 10 days before we charge you. If the renewal price changes, you can switch off auto-renew at no cost until the day before the renewal date.
After a domain expires
When a domain is not renewed by its renewal date, it expires. Your website stays available at its *.mymagic.page address, but the domain stops pointing to it, and email to the domain stops. The registrar may show a parking page on the domain. What happens next depends on the extension:
- Renewal period ("After expiry" in the table): for this many days after expiry, you can still renew the domain at the normal renewal price, and it starts working again.
- Restore period ("Restore" in the table): after that, the registry holds the domain for a further period in which it can only be restored. A restore costs the restore fee shown, on top of the renewal price.
- When the restore period ends, the registry deletes the domain, and anyone can register it.
If the renewal payment failed, updating your payment method in the customer portal during the renewal period is enough: the payment is retried and the domain renewed. To restore a domain, or to renew one whose auto-renew was off, email help@magicpages.co. For generic top-level domains, the registrar also emails the registrant about one month and about one week before the domain expires.
Registrar and registries
We register domains as a reseller of Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu (Openprovider), an ICANN-accredited registrar (IANA ID 1647). Each registry sets its own rules for its extension; the table links them. ICANN explains your rights as a registrant in the Registrants' Benefits and Responsibilities and the Registrant Educational Materials.
