This page explains how to report abuse of a website we host or of a domain name registered through us, and how to request registration data of a domain.
Report abuse
Email abuse@magicpages.co, in English or German. Please include:
- the domain name or the full URL;
- what is wrong, for example phishing, malware, spam, or illegal content;
- evidence, such as screenshots, email headers or log excerpts, and when you saw it;
- for reports of illegal content: why you consider the content illegal, and your name and email address, unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material.
We acknowledge every report within 24 hours and tell you what we decided.
You can also report abuse of a domain directly to the registrar that sponsors domains registered through us: Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu (Openprovider), abuse@registrar.eu, +31 10 448 2297.
What we do
- DNS abuse (malware, botnets, phishing, pharming, and spam that delivers these): when we have evidence that a domain or a site is used for it, we act promptly. Depending on the case, we take the site offline, suspend the domain, or ask the registrar or the registry to suspend it.
- Illegal content on a site we host: we review the report under the Digital Services Act and remove or disable access to content that is illegal.
- Infringement of rights in a domain name: disputes about who may hold a domain name are decided in the dispute procedures of the registry or of ICANN (such as the UDRP), not by us.
We tell the customer concerned what we did and why, unless the law or an authority forbids it.
Requests for registration data
Authorities and other parties with a legitimate interest can request the registration data of a domain registered through us (Article 28(5) of the NIS 2 Directive). Send your request to abuse@magicpages.co with:
- who you are, and for an authority, its name and the officer's role;
- the domain name and the data you need;
- the legal basis and your legitimate interest, for example the right you want to enforce;
- for urgent requests from law enforcement, the subject line "URGENT".
We answer lawful and justified requests without undue delay and within 72 hours. Much of the data is held by the registrar and the registry, which can also be asked directly.
How we keep registration data accurate
- When you register or transfer a domain, we check that the registrant details are complete before we pass them to the registrar.
- The registrar verifies the registrant's email address after every registration, transfer and change of registrant. If it is not confirmed within 15 days, the domain is suspended until it is.
- When we or the registrar have reason to believe that details are wrong, we ask the registrant to correct them. If they are not corrected within 15 days, the domain can be suspended or cancelled.
- The registrar reminds registrants once a year to check their details.
- Registrants can correct their details at any time in the customer portal.
