A festival for indie publishers, and we've got free tickets & dinner

· 2 min read

Magic Pages is sponsoring Indiecon this September – a festival for independent publishers, zine makers, and small magazines, happening in Hamburg from September 4–6. It's the kind of event where people talk about actually making things instead of growth hacks and funnels. No keynotes about "one more thing", no sales floor.

Indiecon 2026
Indiecon is a three-day publishing festival based in Hamburg, Germany. A joint effort of independent magazine, book, art print, zine, newsletter, podcast and website publishers from all over the world. Join us on Sep. 4–6, 2026!

We're going ourselves because it's the community we build Magic Pages for. Independent creators who own their platform instead of renting it from a feed algorithm.

So this year we've got a booth, a handful of spare tickets, and we're hosting a dinner for whoever ends up coming with us.

Here's how the tickets work: send a quick email to help@magicpages.co and tell us you'd like to come. We're not doing first-come-first-served. Once entries close, we'll draw names at random from everyone who put their hand up. If we draw you, we're trusting you to actually show up. Tickets are limited and we'd want them to go to people who can make it there.

What's included: your Indiecon ticket (including Breakfast Club on Saturday and Sunday, so you won't have to start the day hungry), and a seat at dinner with us and the rest of the group on Saturday, 5 September. Travel and accommodation are on you.

Entries close 26 July 2026, 23:59 CEST. We'll let winners know shortly after, so there's still time to book travel.

If you're into indie publishing and want to spend a few days with like-minded people, reply and tell us you're in.

Self-hosting Ghost looks like $5/month. The honest 2026 total − after the Mailgun price hike, a server that won't crash, and your time − is a different number. Here's the full overview, and who should still do it.
